Growing up, I always loved to draw, particularly things of a graphic nature like signs for pep rallies and cartoon character banners for my friends. I loved anything to do with typography. This led me to major in Advertising Art (now Graphic Design) at Moore College of Art & Design in Philadelphia, PA.

Funny thing happened on my way to establishing myself in the design profession, I took a detour down to the Schuylkill River and became a coxswain for a local club. At first it was just an after work activity. But one thing led to another and the next thing I knew I was coxing at the national and international level. So began a long career in the sport of rowing. I coxed on 3 National and 1 Olympic Team and coached on 5 National and 2 Olympic Teams. Over the past 28 years my life and career have revolved rowing.

In the summer of 2008 I found myself no longer coaching. I decided it was time to explore the skills I had set aside so long ago. So I’m venturing back in to the design business. I’m really excited about “exercising” my creative muscle again.
